A drunk ‘Karen’ nearly played a game of F*ck Around and Find Out with UFC fighter Maycee Barber.

In a video clip shared by Demi Bagby, an American CrossFit athlete and popular YouTuber, a random and clearly inebriated woman appeared to be leaning against her vehicle. Bagby repeatedly says, “Get off my car,” to which the woman defiantly stares back and insists that she’s doing nothing wrong.

Seconds later, the woman threatens to “bust” Bagby in her face. It’s then that the camera turns to reveal that Bagby is not alone. She’s with UFC flyweight standout and 14-2 MMA fighter Maycee Barber.

Maycee Barber

I’d beat both your motherf*cking a**es,” the woman says, having absolutely no idea who she’s dealing with.

It appears as though the incident was resolved without things getting physical.

Maycee Barber Suffers health scare immediately following her latest win

Maycee Barber currently sits at No. 4 in the UFC’s official flyweight rankings. ‘The Future’ has won six straight inside the Octagon, including notable victories over Miranda Maverick, Montana De La Rosa, Jessica Eye, Andrea ‘KGB’ Lee, Amanda Ribas, and Katlyn Cerminara (former Chookagian).

Three days after her win over Cerminara at UFC 299, Barber was hospitalized for nearly two weeks, suffering from what doctors believe was a case of Streptococcus pyogenes, a serious form of strep throat as well as a staph infection. She also contracted pneumonia and her blood pressure dropped to dangerous levels.

“I ended up … being on oxygen, having the blood pressure monitored, and everything being monitored at all times, and being stuck with like a bunch of different needles,” Barber said during an appearance on The MMA Hour. “But we don’t have a definitive answer on what it was. From the moment I went into the hospital, they started giving me antibiotics and giving me stuff to try to bring it down or figure it out.

“As they were doing that, they were also testing, they’re like, ‘We’re giving her this to help with it, but we’re also trying to figure out what it is.’ So they never really got a true answer as to what it was. But the antibiotics that I’m on now are slowly starting to clear it up. So I’m hopeful that it just stays gone and stays away because, for a minute there, I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it.”

Maycee Barber eyes Rose Namajunas fight in UFC return I would be fighting backwards

Maycee Barber has responded to the callout from former champion Rose Namajunas following ‘Thug’ beating Amanda Ribas in the main event of UFC Vegas 89.

Namajunas was set for her second fight at flyweight after losing a decision to Manon Fiorot back in September. Namajunas ended up winning a decision and after the win, she called for a bout with Barber.

After the callout, Maycee Barber responded to Rose Namaunas, and ‘The Future’ says it would be a good stylistic matchup for her, but the only downside is her fighting down in the rankings.

“Yeah, I think that that’s a great matchup for me. The only downside is I’d be fighting backwards” Barber said to James Lynch of SportsKeeda (via MMANews). “For the first time, I can actually say that me fighting Rose Namajunas would be fighting backwards in the division, even though a win over her is like, a win over a former champion, a win over someone who has been in such a great position for so long.

“It would be a great win for me. So that’s something I have been thinking about. I would like to fight her, for sure,” Barber continued. “We do have some history. I used to train with her out here in Denver. Then I fought Audrey Perkins, (who) was a former teammate of hers. I fought JJ Aldrich and I remember Rose and Pat (Barry) being in the corner or the crowd. Rose, it just broke her when I beat JJ. So there is some bitterness there. She wants to be the one to beat me.”

Currently, Barber is ranked fourth at flyweight while Namajunas is ranked sixth. But, it would be a chance for Barber to beat a former champion and future Hall of Famer in Namajunas to cement herself as the next flyweight title contender.

Maycee Barber entered the hospital after Her UFC 299 win

Maycee Barber is coming off a decision win over Katlyn Cerminara back at UFC 299 to extend her win streak to six.

However, following the win, Barber was in the hospital for nine days as she was being treated for an infection, which she says they thought were a mix of different things from Strep A to Staph. However, the doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her, but Barber eventually got healthy and is now out of hospital and back training.

Barber is currently 14-2 as a pro and on a six-fight winning streak. Before the win over Cerminara, she defeated Amanda Ribas by TKO. In her career, she holds notable wins over Miranda Maverick, Andrea Lee, and Jessica Eye among others.

Julianna Peña issues warning to foes ahead of UFC 297 title fight don't worry mama's coming home soon

Former undisputed bantamweight champion, Julianna Peña has issued a warning to both Raquel Pennington and Mayra Bueno Silva – ahead of the pair’s vacant title outing at UFC 297 this weekend, as well as bizarrely, surging flyweight contender, Maycee Barber.

Peña, the current number one ranked bantamweight contender, has been sidelined from the Octagon since she suffered her title loss in a rematch against former two-division champion, Amanda Nunes at UFC 277 back in July 2022.

Slated to make her comeback in a June title trilogy rubber match against the Brazilian queen last year, Washington native, Peña was forced from the bout due to an injury setback, and was replaced by Mexican challenger, Irene Aldana.

Yet to make her return to active competition in the time since Nunes’ retirement and vacating of the title back in June, Peña missed out on a vacant championship fight in Canada this weekend at UFC 297 – with Pennington taking on the surging, Bueno Silva over the course of five rounds for vacant spoils.

Julianna Peña plots incoming Octagon return

Maintaining she will challenge for spoils in her immediate return, Peña, the first female Ultimate Fighter winner, has sent a warning to the pair – as well as flyweight contender, Barber ahead of the UFC 297 card.

“Don’t worry, mama’s coming home soon,” Julianna Peña posted on her official Instagram account. “#Baddestf*ckingmother #BFMchamp #thepeñapower #ufc.”

Over the course of her tenure with the Dana White-led UFC, Peña has turned in notable victories over the likes of former championship challengers, Jessica Eye, Cat Zingano, and Sara McMann, as well as former undisputed gold holders, Nicco Montaño – and the aforenoted, Nunes in arguably the greatest upset in the antiquity of the Octagon.

Maycee Barber welcomes Julianna Peña title fight UFC I totally would take that belt from her

Once targeting a record-setting title victory as the youngster gold holder in the history of the UFC, surging flyweight contender, Maycee Barber has welcomed the possibility of a title fight at the bantamweight champion, taking on former titleholder, Julianna Peña.

Barber, who has won her last five consecutive outings, most recently earned the number eight rank in the official flyweight pile back in June at UFC Fight Night Jacksonville, turning in an impressive second round elbows and ground strikes TKO win over Brazilian grappler, Amanda Ribas.

13-2 as a professional, the highly-touted, Barber suffered her first professional loss against the veteran, Roxanne Modafferi back in 2020, batlling to a three round decision loss after suffering a brutal knee injury.

In her return to the Octagon in February of the following year, Barber suffered her second straight loss in the form of a unanimous decision against eventual division champion and current gold holder, Alexa Grasso at the UFC Apex facility.

Engaging in a recent rivalry with former champion, Peña following the Washington native’s outspoken tirade against former two-weight champion, Amanda Nunes, Barber was urged to “drink a protein shake and come up to 135 (pounds)” by The Ultimate Fighter winner, welcoming a future fight.

And as far as Barber’s concerned, the streaking 25-year-old has welcomed the potential future bantamweight title fight with Peña – particularly in the absence of a champion in the weight class currently.

“If I was offered that fight at 135 (pound), to fight Julianna (Peña), I’d do it tomorrow,” Maycee Barber told assembled media ahead of UFC 291. “I’m trying for that fight, but, we’ll see what happens.”

“You know, I’m actually supposed to be talking to Hunter (Campbell) and Mick (Maynard) soon so,” Maycee Barber explained. “I should have an answer for that soon. I totally would go and take that belt from Julianna.”

Over the course of her five-fight winning run, Colorado native, Barber has landed victories over the above-mentioned, Ribas, as well as Andrea Lee, former title challenger, Jessica Eye, as well as Montana De La Rosa, and Miranda Maverick.

Sean Strickland Ali Abdelaziz Maycee Barber

UFC middleweight contender Sean Strickland is never far away from controversy. In a recent interview with James Lynch, Strickland opened up about why he and Ali Abdelaziz might be in for a “fistfight” and why UFC flyweight Maycee Barber might despise him now.

Last seen at UFC Vegas 76, Sean Strickland impressed with his second-round finish of Abus Magomedov. Strickland took advantage of an evidently exhausted Magomedov to apply the pressure in the second round tremendously. Eventually, Strickland would catch Magomedov with huge shots that led to a flurry of brutal ground and pound to provoke the referee’s stoppage for the TKO victory.

Abus Magomedov is one of the fighters Ali Abdelaziz manages. In Lynch’s interview with Strickland, the UFC star would speak about how Abdelaziz arranged the fight between him and Magomedov.

Sean Strickland opens up about the beef with Ali Abdelaziz and speaks on why Maycee Barber doesn’t like him

“(Ali) watched me spar and then next thing you know it’s like ‘Hey, three weeks later we got this guy we want you to fight,’” Strickland began, speaking to James Lynch. “There’s a lot of f***ed up s*** you guys, I’m not gonna go into it. (The fight) felt like a little personal… There’s a chance that me and Ali are gonna be fist fighting…I’m really hoping that I see Ali, it’s like ‘Oh Sean you’re a white trash motherf***er I like you.’ Or, it could be like ‘Hey f*** you, Sean.’ Either way man, I hope it’s cool. But if not, I’m always down for a good time.”

During the interview, Maycee Barber would walk by, and this prompted Sean Strickland to mention the drama surrounding them and why she may “not like him” now.

“She went on (Twitter) and she was talking about fans telling her she should go kill herself,” Strickland said. “And I was like ‘Welcome to life. What do you think, they’re just gonna say they wanna have sex with you and you’re pretty?’ That is the other side of the coin there Miss Maycee. As you’re loved, you’re also hated. So I think she got a little bit mad.”

Although this is pretty typical behavior for Sean Strickland at this point, it could be said that it’s entertaining that the UFC middleweight seems to always land himself in hot water when it concerns beef or drama. Undoubtedly, this will not be the last time we hear about Sean Strickland having beef with somebody or saying something “frowned upon” by modern society.
