According to Dana White, The 45th President, Justin Bieber and comedian Dave Chappelle are only a few names to expect amongst the UFC 264 celebrity guest list.

Ahead of the blockbuster trilogy match between Poirier and McGregor taking place this weekend at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Dana White (President of the UFC) spoke with TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, where he dropped a few names of celebrities we can expect to see this weekend.

White told TSN that amongst the 45th US President Donald Trump, Bieber, Chappelle, Kevin Durant, Odell Beckham Jr, Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox, Mel Gibson, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are others to expect with the celebrity guest list growing by the minute. White went on to state his excitement for the bout urging fans to purchase their pay-per-view in advance due to the increasing demand.

Trump recently made an appearance at UFC 244 back in Nov 2019 in New York where he was spotted cage side. Trump had been in attendance for the BMF (Baddest Mother F**ker) Title bout between Masvidal and Diaz. The 45th President became the first U.S. President to attend a UFC event. With Trump being a fan of the UFC, it is no surprise that he will be making an appearance this weekend with the stacked sold out card bringing life back to Vegas.

In an interview with Brett Okamoto of ESPN, White had confirmed that UFC 264 was not only set to be one of the most spectacular events to take place in Vegas but that it was also set to have more celebrity fans in attendance than any other UFC event in all of the companies history.

Amongst those already mentioned, who would you like to see at UFC 264, and furthermore, who would you like them cheering on?

Gervonta Davis vs. Francisco Fonseca

The co-main event along with the highly anticipated fight of Mayweather vs. McGregor is going to be the fight for the junior lightweight title wherein Gervonta Davis will defend the title against contender Francisco Fonseca. The odds are stacked pretty heavily in favor of Davis and Fonseca really has to pull out something extraordinary if he is going to be able to defeat Davis. The betting odds makes sense considering that Davis has a highly impressive professional career record so far of 18-0, and even more staggering is the fact that 17 of these 18 victories have come by the way of a knock out. Thus, it really is no surprise that most of the bookmakers have Fonseca at +1100 underdog. This essentially means that if you were to bet $100 on Fonseca, and he actually won, you would receive a return of $1100.

However, Fonseca is by no means a bad fighter in his own right, Fonseca too has an impressive record of 19 – 0 – 1. Of the 19 victories, 13 of them so far have been courtesy of knockouts. Despite, Fonseca’s record on paper, he has not really been as dominant and confident as Davis in the recent past and this is where Davis really has the edge.

Davis has clearly outclassed nearly every fighter that he has come up against so far. Even the likes of Jose Pedraza who was a 22 – 0 favorite to win the championship was out done by Davis. Davis then went on to defend his title with an amazing victory against Liam Walsh with a commendable technical knockout. When he was beaten by Davis, Walsh had had a flawless record of 21 – 0.

Davis isn’t only strong, but is also agile and has razor sharp reflexes. Beating him is going to be an uphill battle for any fighter, let alone Fonseca. We are going to have to side with the bookies on this one, and put our money on Davis to win by knockout. It is highly improbable that this fight will end in any other way except for a victory for Davis.

Nate Diaz believes McGregor’s lightweight title shot was gifted to him by the UFC.

This past weekend at UFC 205, featherweight champion Conor McGregor made history when he defeated lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez to become the promotion’s first simultaneous multi-division champ.

Diaz and McGregor met inside the octagon twice this year. Diaz was able to submit McGregor in their first meeting at UFC 196, but dropped a decision to the Irishman the second time around in August at UFC 202.

After winning the rematch, McGregor immediately got a shot at the lightweight title. In an interview with ESPN, Diaz says the title fight turned out as he thought it would, and believes the belt was essentially ‘handed’ to McGregor.

“I think it is a little bit artificial. It was handed over,” Diaz said. “It was good timing for him. He did everything right and they handed it to him … He went into the fight like I expected he would. Especially against that guy. I expected that fight would go exactly like it went.”

Fans have been calling for a rubber match between the two ever since the bell sounded to end their second fight. As far as Diaz is concerned, the UFC is doing their best to keep him out of the mix and isn’t even sure they want him in the same building as McGregor.

“The UFC didn’t even want to give me tickets to this fight,” Diaz said. “I was up in the club box and after the fight everyone is turned around looking at me. I’m like, ‘it’s not my call they’re hiding me out up here’ I think they gave Nick Jonas my seat.

“It might have been in his contract, ‘Don’t let Nate Diaz in here because that might start something’.”

Diaz says he is still interested in a third fight with McGregor, but isn’t about to beg anybody for it. Both fights between the two were record-setting events, ranking as two of the top three events in the companies history.

You’d think with the two of them generating that sort of cash the UFC would be quick to make the rubber match, but Diaz believes he knows what all the hesitation about.

“The UFC knows that is a bad idea for him,” Diaz said. “I know what happened in the fight with me and him the last time and he knows what happened and people know what happened.”

It wasn’t all bad, though. Diaz did have some praise for McGregor and his accomplishments at UFC 205, but feels like calling him the greatest of all time is unwarranted.

“Congratulations to Conor, great job, got the two belts,” Diaz said. “Me and him know what happened in the last couple of fights and the greatest of all time stuff, that needs to come to and end. I don’t remember any of the greatest of all time getting worked over like the last couple fights.”

McGregor’s coach has already dropped the seed that he would like to see McGregor and Diaz fight one more time.

Only time will tell if they actually do.

Dana White: “No Way In Hell” McGregor vs. Mayweather Happens

Not surprisingly, the Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather rumors continue to be fed by media and fan speculation. One person not feeding the rumors, however, is UFC President Dana White.

In a recent interview on UFC Tonight, White discussed the unlikeliness of a bout between ‘Money’ and the ‘Notorious’ Irishman:

“There’s no reality there either,” White said “Listen, if you look at Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio, (they) were in the same sport and they couldn’t make that fight. You think you’re going to make Floyd and Conor?

“There’s no way in hell.”

Speculation about a possible bout between the two has run rampant over the past week, as Mayweather claimed responsibility for starting the rumors about a possible boxing match with McGregor. McGregor also tweeted a poster for the rumored super-fight on his Twitter page:Ch7YNN4XIAE99S-

While a bout against McGregor is unlikely, Mayweather is certainly expected to step into the ring one last time as he has trademarked ‘TMT 50’ (The Money Team 50) as well as ‘TBE 50’ (The Best Ever 50).

McGregor, on the other hand, is looking to negotiate terms with the UFC for his return, as the two are said to be having dinner together later next week according to White. The Irishman was involved in a bumping of heads with UFC officials after refusing to attend a press conference for his scheduled bout with Nate Diaz at UFC 200, thus leading to his removal from the colossal summer card.

As of now, the ‘MMA vs Boxing’ bout between McGregor and Mayweather will have to wait, but it’s till going to be quite interesting to see how much longer these rumors are fueled in the coming weeks.
