During a Facebook Live gaming stream, UFC legend and WWE star Ronda Rousey explained how judo has been the worst for her body and gave details of her future WWE events.

Rousey’s reign in the UFC put a spotlight on women’s MMA. With brutal armbars, she took down big names before the final bell rang.

She was crowned the UFC bantamweight champion after a victory over Liz Carmouche back in 2013. Every title defense from then on was won by a vicious submission.

Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes are the only two fighters to defeat Rousey in her UFC career.

But before she dominated in the octagon, Rousey made incredible strides in the Olympics.

In 2004, she was the youngest athlete to qualify for the Olympics in Athens. The then 17-year-old gained only one win that year. However, she returned to the Summer Games in Beijing four years later and took home the bronze medal.

Judo has helped the submission artist collect a lot of Ws in her MMA career. But after many years, the Japanese martial art has become her most strenuous activity.

“No, Judo’s definitely the hardest on my joints than MMA or pro wrestling. I was about ready to retire from Judo just because of how bad it was on my knees when I was like in my early 20s. But, what’s it called? — no, I was surprised. Even at the Royal Rumble, I wasn’t even breathing hard at the end of it and in the match the other day [in Saudi Arabia], I wasn’t even, yeah. I’m an athlete, you know? So I’m not talking about breathing hard. I wasn’t feeling like I was — I couldn’t catch my breath or something like that. So no, I feel great and I haven’t been that sore yet, but I got a bunch of live shows coming up,” Rousey explained on her Facebook Live stream (h/t Wrestling Headlines.)

Rousey’s WWE Schedule

No longer in the UFC, Ronda Rousey now makes waves in the WWE.

On January 29, she won the Royal Rumble after years away from the pro wrestling promotion.

Now the former WWE champion’s schedule has certainly picked up.

“I’m doing SmackDown this Friday and then I’m doing a live show, I think there’s one in Rochester and one in like Ohio, right? I think like the actual SmackDown is in Pennsylvania. It’s something like Pennsylvania, Ohio, I’m gonna do three shows in a row. I don’t have a match on SmackDown but I’ll be doing a match the next two nights in — on the live shows and then the next week, after SmackDown, I’m doing two live shows. I’m doing M.S.G. in New York and then I’m going to Montreal.

“So, in the next two weeks, I’ll be having a bunch of matches. Ask me again then. I think it’s more of like the repetition of doing a bunch of matches in a row that’ll really get to you, start to be sore and the travel. Just constantly being able to sit upright but, we’re lucky enough where we actually get to travel on a bus so, I’ll be able to like lay down and not have to jump on a car or on a train after wrestling which helps,” Rousey continued to say on her live stream.

Rousey’s last performance in the ring was at the Elimination Chamber with Naomi as her tag-team partner. Together, they defeated Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville.

Fans of the “Baddest Woman on the Planet” will be elated to see the former UFC champion turned WWE superstar in more wrestling matches in the future.

Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey is now officially a part of the WWE’s roster and was baptized in classic professional wrestling fashion after Stephanie McMahon slammed her through a table on Monday.

But that wasn’t even the worst part of her appearance on RAW, as McMahon did the unthinkable by bringing up Rousey’s devastating knockout losses that led her to retire from the sport altogether. Rousey is notoriously prickly when it comes to discussing those losses in interviews, but that didn’t stop Vince McMahon’s daughter from “going there” – and didn’t stop Rousey from letting her for money.

Watch the exchange for yourself:

McMahon insisted Rousey’s first loss in pro-wrestling would come in her very first match, poking fun at how the ‘world knows she handles losses’:

“Ronda, just remember that you chose this path. This is all on you. You are going to lose at WrestleMania. In the record books, your very first match in WWE is going to be a loss to me.

“And we all know — The world knows how you handle losses.”

Rousey will make her official WWE debut at Wrestlemania 34 on Sunday in a tag team match with partner and fellow Olympic medalist Kurt Angle against Stephanie McMahon and her real-life husband, Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has always had a prickly demeanor, and that happened to be on full display after she misinterpreted a question from Mike Golic on ESPN’s Golic & Wingo Tuesday.

Rousey snapped back after a seemingly innocuous question from Golic, who had asked her whether or not she’d consider returning to MMA. He may have worded it a bit strangely by asking if she would ‘go back’ to fighting ‘in time,’ to which Rousey misunderstood that he was asking if she could actually go back in time:

“‘There’s a possibility that I could go back in time?’ That’s your question to me?” Rousey replied. “I do not have the ability to go back in time, no.”

Golic was miffed but clearly trying to keep things cool, so he rephrased his question to ask if she would fight again.

An angry Rousey made things even more strange by replying shortly that she didn’t know if she would return despite essentially closing the door on an MMA return in prior interviews.

Watch Rousey get awkward and annoyed right here:

Rousey joined WWE to begin her professional wrestling career after suffering two brutal stoppage losses in a row to Amanda Nunes and Holly Holm before leaving MMA altogether – at least for the time being.

While she hasn’t had an actual wrestling match yet, she claims that the WWE will be her main focus for the next few years.

What did you think of Rousey’s reaction?

Ronda Rousey has officially signed with professional wrestling powerhouse WWE after seemingly retiring from MMA.

While the former women’s bantamweight champ has been remaining mum on her last two fights which ended in her being viciously knocked out, longtime foe Cris Cyborg feels as if Rousey is running from fighting for an easier payday.

Cyborg spoke with MMA Fighting after being asked her thoughts on Rousey’s signing with the WWE:

“I believe that she will be happy in WWE, and it’s completely different from the reality of MMA. For an example, wins and losses are decided before the shows.”

“I think it’s normal. In reality, we can only talk about things that we already overcame in our minds. She hasn’t overcome her MMA losses yet, even in another stage of her career. Sometimes people need professional help to get over it.”

Rousey and Cyborg have disliked each other for years, ever since the two competed under the Strikeforce banner. When Rousey was still champion, many fight fans and pundits believed Cyborg was the only woman who could stop her, but that fight never came to fruition.

Instead, Cyborg is focusing on defending her women’s featherweight title in a division that’s light on contenders. While the featherweight division fleshes out, Cyborg claims she’s already accepted a bout against women’s bantamweight champion and fellow Brazilian brawler Amanda Nunes:

“My focus is to fight someone in my division because I hope it grows. But like I said, I’ve accepted to fight Amanda (at UFC 226 on July 7), if she wants that so much. Now my manager is negotiating the terms so this fight happens.”

Do you agree with Cyborg on Rousey’s decision to leave MMA for pro wrestling?
