SF 15 comain eventPress Release – Monday, May 9, 2011: Texas based mixed martial arts fight promotion company, Shark Fight Promotions, announced today that the Shark Fights 15 co-main event will feature a compelling middleweight match-up between UFC veteran Dave Branch and TUF 7 alum Jeremy May. The popular Texas-based fight promotion company will take its show on the road Friday May 27, with an exciting bout card that is sure to pack the Santa Ana Star Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The high octane fight card will feature a total of 12 action-packed bouts. This will be the organizations first show outside of Texas. According to Shark Fight executives, the organization is looking forward to a successful debut in the Land of Enchantment. UFC veteran Chris Camozzi and Strikeforce veteran Joey Villasenor will headline the event.

Wes Nolen of Shark Fight Promotions stated, “We are very excited to be hosting our first out of state event at the Santa Ana Star Center in Albuquerque. It is the very same venue that World Extreme Cagefighting held WEC 32. I can’t think of a better place to make our debut in New Mexico. Tickets are selling fast and we anticipate a very successful event.”

Shark Fights 15 is stacked with elite MMA talent. Camozzi vs. Villasenor and Branch vs. May are only two of many well-matched bouts on the fight card. MMA fans can expect a night full of non-stop fight action on May 27 when Shark Fights contenders face off at the Santa Ana Star Center. Fans will not want to miss this exciting night of fights!

Bellator Fighting Championship and UFC veteran, Dave “The Tree” Branch (8-2-0), is a highly skilled, well rounded fighter, competing in the middleweight division. Branch, who is as skilled on the ground as he is on his feet, earned his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under the tutelage of MMA veteran, Renzo Gracie. In additional to mixed martial arts, Branch has also competed in (and won) Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu titles in nationwide competitions. Branch is coming off of a second round loss to Rousimar Palhares at UFC Live: Sanchez vs. Kampmann. This is Branch’s first post UFC bout and he plans to make a statement by quickly defeating the controversial Jeremy May.

Branch’s opponent, Jeremy “The BAMF” May (9-7-0), is a submission specialist best known for his stint on The Ultimate Fighter TUF7 series. May made a lasting impression on viewers as one of the most controversial contenders in the house. During the series, May rooted against different fighters, pulled a ‘fake drinking’ stunt and also tried to get Jesse “JT Money” Taylor into a fight, which would have jeopardized Taylor’s shot in the semifinals. Love him or hate him, May consistently delivers exciting fight action and is determined to add another notable win to his record on May 27.
