Andrew Tate was recently interviewed by Rob Moore, sharing his opinions on a variety of topics including the growth of internet personalities competing in combat sports. One man whose name was mentioned during this conversation was ‘The Problem Child,’ Jake Paul.

Tate revealed that he had been involved in a conversation that would have seen him fight the undefeated Paul, but things never came to fruition. Speaking on the matter Tate highlighted the difference between Jake Paul and the rest of these internet superstars who are trying their hand at combat sports as well as how he believes a fight between himself, and Paul would play out.

‘That was in conversation at some point. I think Jake Paul is a man who is very dedicated to his craft, and he is not just a YouTuber, Jake Paul is a boxer. He spends his life training, he has a lot of money, a lot of time, and a lot of resources. The idea that he is just a YouTuber is foolish.“

“KSI is just a YouTuber. Jake Paul is a boxer, and he is certainly the best of all the influencers who are fighting today hands down.“

“Would I fight him? Well, there is not a man on earth I wouldn’t fight it just depends on the scenario, depends on the situation. For me to fight Jake Paul it wouldn’t be for money because I don’t need money. It wouldn’t be for influence because I am more famous than him. It would be either a personal beef or me deciding that it was good for me and my brand.“

“It would be a decision I make very consciously but I couldn’t be bought into it. It couldn’t be to say ‘hey you’ll be famous’ I am the most famous man on the plan I couldn’t care.“

“But certainly, he would be the only challenge of any of them, he wouldn’t be easy to beat, I would knock him asleep of course but it would take more than one round. But the rest of them are all just clowns but Jake Paul is in a different league to the rest of them.“

Andrew Tate Pictured Among Numerous UFC Fighters Prior To UFC 280

One of the more controversial individuals on the internet as of late, Andrew Tate, had been seen taking photographs with numerous UFC fighters who were competing on the UFC 280 card this past week.

This included the likes of UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling and number one contender, Sean O’Malley. Tate had even gone as far as inviting O’Malley for a tour of Eastern Europe after UFC 280 had been completed.

Tate then found himself in the midst of the action during fight week as footage emerged online of the social media outcast sparring inside a UFC octagon that had been set up for the athletes on the card to use in preparation for their matchups. Whether you like him or not, it seems we may be seeing a great deal more of Andrew Tate involved with some of the more popular UFC competitors.

Following on from their victory the Ireland team was to be seen signing Wolfe Tones song ‘Celtic Symphony’ which contains the lyrics ‘Up The Ra’ referencing the IRA (Irish Republican Army).

The team received harsh criticism after the video emerged online of the players signing the song whilst celebrating their victory in the changing rooms post-match. Chloe Mustaki, a member of the match-winning squad would later appear on Sky Sports News to apologise on behalf of the squad for their actions.

Following the apology, Conor McGregor shared his thoughts on the matter in his own unique way. The Irishman uploaded a video to his social media editing Mustaki’s original response to include one of his many well-known catchphrases stating: ‘I would like to take his chance to apologise…to absolutely nobody.’

Conor McGregor Defends Ireland Team Following Backlash

Conor McGregor came to the defence of the Ireland Women’s team following the backlash they received following Tuesday’s victory over Scotland. The ‘Notorious’ himself has first-hand experience of social media controversy given his frequent tirade of posts targeting fellow martial artists and anyone who speaks poorly of him.

Most notably McGregor received heavy criticism in the aftermath of his defeat to Dustin Poirier in their trilogy bout at UFC 264 after making remarks regarding the Louisiana-natives wife, Jolie Poirier.

McGregor would only make things worse after his former opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov congratulated Poirier on his well-deserved victory.

Khabib would remark that ‘Good always defeats evil’ in reference to Poirier’s success over McGregor, which resulted in the Irishman making comments on the former lightweight champion’s father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.

Adulmanap Nurmagomedov died in July 2020 after battling health conditions and long-term effects brought on by the coronavirus. Responding to Khabib’s tweet McGregor suggested that ‘Covid is good and father is evil?’ making jokes in regards to Abdulmanap’s passing.

No doubt, Conor McGregor will continue to involve himself in controversies on Twitter, especially in the build-up to his highly anticipated return to the octagon, scheduled to occur in 2023.

Mack entered the bout with a 42-pound weight advantage over his opponent. However, that seemed to be the area of his downfall, as he rapidly began to fatigue during the second round, before ultimately being dispatched in the third.

Kouzi was able to land a combination of strikes which dropped Mack early on in round three. Despite winning his matchup, Kouzi admitted he was somewhat disappointed in his performance, claiming that with his experience he should have been able to overcome his opponent easier.

Holding a kickboxing record of 31-16-2, Kouzi had a wealth of experience to call upon in this matchup. Although he struggled to get past Mack’s attempts in the first round ultimately, he was able to find his rhythm and land the necessary shots that would see him stop Mack, who proved to be an awkward opponent.

Despite not achieving his victory in his matchup, Mack seemed to be still relatively pleased with the opportunity to go and compete in this exhibition bout and he would have been even more so after watching his boss, Floyd Mayweather, stop Mikuru Asakura in the second round of their matchup.

In the main-event match of Super RIZIN 38, Floyd Mayweather faced MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura in a three-round exhibition bout. The 30-year-old fighter holds a professional record of 16-3 in his MMA career.

The fight turned out as expected in what was a quick night at the office for Mayweather, Asakura was unable to land anything to put the undefeated boxer in any real danger while Mayweather comfortably was able to land his own shots and start to break down his opponent.

And as it seems those shots were beginning to have a damaging effect; Mayweather worked the body early on before landing a shot to the head just before the bell which saw Asakura unable to continue.

In his post-fight interview, Mayweather announced that he would like to return to Japan and RIZIN to compete once again. However, that will most likely take place after his next reported bout in which he is scheduled to take on YouTube celebrity and brother of KSI, Deji.

Chael Sonnen has questioned the legitimacy of Floyd Mayweather‘s claims after he suggested he would be earning between $15-20 Million for his exhibition boxing bout against Mikuru Asakura.

A man normally with the inside knowledge Sonnen has claimed that Mayweather has exaggerated the amount he will be receiving by nearly double ahead of his September 25^th clash against Asakura.

Speaking on his YouTube channel Sonnen shared his thoughts on just how much Mayweather will truly make this upcoming weekend.

“Floyd is claiming he’s gonna get $20 million for this — I call it ‘rassling because they’re not actually [fighting] — but whatever they’re getting ready to do in Japan, whatever that is that’s going to look like boxing, he’s getting $8 million.”

“Now, eight is a beautiful number. But he claimed he was getting 20. So I feel because I know the real number, that I can’t let it go. I must come to you guys. I have a journalistic obligation to come and inform you it’s actually $8 million and he’s exaggerating.”

It is unknown just how much truth there is to Sonnen’s suggestions but competitors inflating the amount they truly earn is not exactly something you should be surprised by, if true.

Chael Sonnen did not stop there with his claims surrounding ahead of this weekend’s exhibition bout, he took it one step further to claim that the matchup is all part of a ‘script’ to favour Mayweather.

“If Floyd can go in there and get $8 million for whatever that is and he doesn’t have to work very hard, he doesn’t have to train at all because the script is on his side and they’ve already told him who’s going down and when isn’t that something I’d want to emulate?

“Floyd’s gonna go over to Dubai, he’s gonna do something after this, which will represent the second time that he’s done that, and he’s going to get millions of dollars. I don’t know, I think in Dubai, they’re actual competition, they’re just with bums.

“Those might also be scripted like the stuff he’s doing in Japan, I don’t actually know that, I haven’t got to see one, they’re like little private events.

“This is his second time going back [to Japan],” Chael Sonnen said. “People use Floyd once, they get their ass kicked and they don’t go back to him. It was a terrible deal. These guys are. They paid him $8 million, gave him a script, bringing him back again, giving him $8 million, have him read the script.”

It appears Mayweather is looking to keep himself busy to close the year out with reports suggesting he has already scheduled his next matchup against YouTube celebrity Deji on November 13^th.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO, has recently released a video showing off his MMA ability following on from an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience.

As someone who is in control of one of the largest social media companies, it comes as no surprise that the billionaire like many of us needs a release away from the office. A follower of the sport and someone who praises the skills of these athletes Mark Zuckerberg put his techniques on display for the world to see.

Speaking to Joe Rogan, Zuckerberg reveals how his interest in the sport came about during the pandemic.

“How did I not know about it till right now?”

“Since COVID, I got super into surfing and foiling, and then really into MMA. I know a lot of people who do it. There’s actually this really interesting connection between people who surf and do jiu-jitsu.”

Having competed within a sporting setting throughout his childhood but never anything like this Zuckerberg told Joe Rogan how he wished he had become involved from a younger age and how now he spends his time trying to convince his friends to come and join his within training at MMA gyms.

Zuckerberg has been training under BJJ/Judo black belt Dave Camarillo at his gym, Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu. Camarillo himself spent time mastering his trade under the watchful eye of Ralph Gracie and has since been passing on his knowledge to his students for over 20 years.

“My mom made me do three varsity sports and my life took a wrong turn when I chose to do fencing competitively instead of wrestling in high school or something,” he said. “There’s something so primal about it, I don’t know.”

“Since then, I’ve just introduced a bunch of my friends to it—we train together, and we like, wrestle together, and there’s a certain intensity to it that I like.”

Having felt the benefits, himself Zuckerberg implemented these sessions into his workplace offering all employees the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of grappling for free along with giving out free customized gis to entice them even further.

“There’s a lot of good parallels for philosophy of life and, like foiling and surfing, jiu-jitsu, MMA, I think it sort of teaches you about the flow and momentum of things.”(Transcribed by bloodyelbow)

Whether Mark Zuckerberg will opt to take a step further and begin competing remains to be seen. Although if he did one man who may be willing to trade blows with him is none other than UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett who called out the social media giant owner after he was banned from Instagram.
