The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has filed complaints against Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov for their parts in the UFC 229 brawl.

The formal disciplinary complaints against McGregor and Nurmagomedov were written by the NSAC executive director Bob Bennett. The complaints outline the commission’s case against the lightweights for their roles in the brawl that followed UFC 229. You can view the NSAC complaints here.

NSAC Latest

The hearing will take place on Dec. 10 in Las Vegas. Bennett will be tasked with recommending possible punishments for the fighters. However, the final decision on any potential penalties will be made by the full five-member commission.

The commission alleges Nurmagomedov “refused to comply” with a “valid order” from an NSAC commissioner during the brawl. The Dagestani struck several people, “including but not limited to” McGregor’s cornerman Dillon Danis, NSAC inspectors, and UFC security personnel.

Nurmagomedov’s actions were completely out of character. Regardless it makes him guilty of “foul or unsportsmanlike conduct” in connection with a fight. He also is alleged to have violated Nevada state laws.

McGregor is accused of similar actions, the commission alleges he refused to comply with “valid orders to return to the octagon canvas” after attempting to jump over the cage where Nurmagomedov and Danis fought.

McGregor “straddled” the cage and struck Nurmagomedov’s cornerman Abubakar Nurmagomedov. Abubakar was attempting to climb into the octagon. McGregor “threw a punch at Abubakar Nurmagomedov. The two “then proceeded to throw punches while both … straddled the octagon.”

According to the NSAC, McGregor’s actions also constitute “foul or unsportsmanlike conduct” and a violation of state law.

Potential Outcomes

The potential punishments on the table for both fighters vary. Both lightweights are subject to the NSAC bylaws that allow the commission to suspend or revoke their licenses, issue up to a lifetime ban and withhold 100 percent of their purses or $250,000, whichever is greater.

Both Nurmagomedov and McGregor remain temporarily suspended pending the resolution of their cases. However, they have both been ordered to attend the hearing.

UFC President Dana White expects both to be suspended and has held off confirmation of any booking until the resolution of their cases. He indicated his nightmare scenario is a one-year suspension of Nurmagomedov, which he said would be “unfair.”

Conor McGregor’s Attorney Says Cornermen Should Share Blame For UFC 229 Brawl

Conor McGregor’s attorney is hoping that the cornermen for both fighters take responsibility.

Conor McGregor’s attorney, Michael Mersch, has made it known that he hopes that all the cornermen involved in the UFC 229 brawl should take responsibility for their actions.

On Wednesday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission held a hearing regarding this incident. At the meeting, it was revealed that they would give extended the temporary suspension to both McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Following the main event fight, the UFC lightweight champion went flying out of the Octagon. He got into a brawl with some of McGregor’s teammates including his training partner Dillon Danis. There were many people trying to calm down the situation at the UFC 229 pay-per-view event. There were also some cornermen involved in the brawl.

McGregor and Khabib must face their punishment when they find out actual sanctions from the NSAC later this year. The commission will meet on December 10th where they will decide the fates of the two UFC stars.

NSAC chief Bob Bennett has made his stance known by stating that he puts part of the blame on both fighters’ managers.

McGregor’s Attorney Fires Back

However, McGregor’s attorney and former UFC legal counsel member, has fired back with a statement of his own. Those comments are about the cornermen taking the blame as well.

“But for the actions of Mr. Nurmagomedov, none of this would have happened.” Mersch said (via MMAjunkie). “I hope the commission will not just focus on the two fighters in this case. Because I think the commission has a history of looking at the actions of corner people, as well.”

Featherweight fighter Zubaira Tukhugov is a cornerman in question as he jumped the cage and blindsided McGregor. This was in the middle of the chaos that ensued. Mersch stated that although he’s not sure who was involved in the brawl, the NSAC can get those names.

“I don’t pretend to know the names or functions of every single person that was in and out of the octagon post-fight. But I assume that at least some of them were licensed by this commission.”

Mersch continued by stating the NSAC always looks at activities above and beyond the fighters themselves in these cases.

“And this commission, whether it was in the Zab Judah hearings, or the Mike Tyson ‘Bite Fight.’ The commission looks at activities above and beyond the fighters themselves. Once I have a complaint, we’re happy to address it with them.”

50 Cent Offers Big-Money Bellator Deal To Khabib Nurmagomedov

Khabib Nurmagomedov has received an offer by 50 Cent to fight in Bellator MMA.

50 Cent offers a big money deal to UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in order to sign with Bellator MMA.

50 Cent Making Moves

This is the latest attempt by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson to make some moves in the landscape of mixed martial arts. It should be noted that the rapper does have some connections with the Viacom-owned promotion as recently signed an apparel deal with Bellator. He also revealed that he would be giving out a $1 million cash prize to the winner of the Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix.

Recently, Jackson took to his official Twitter account where he gave the offer to the UFC lightweight champion. He also brought up how the UFC is not the only game in town and that he would be willing to deal with UFC President Dana White about getting him out of his contract. This is after the melee at UFC 229 that involved Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor and their respective teams.

How We Got Here

The money deal would see Khabib and his teammate, featherweight Zubaira Tukhugov, make the jump from the UFC to Bellator MMA to fight. This comes off the heels of Nurmagomedov threatening to quit the UFC should the UFC release his teammate in the fallout of the UFC 229.

50 Cent Offers

Jackson wrote the following on his official Instagram account, which later saw Khabib respond in the comment section by stating “send me the location.”

“@khabib_nurmagomedov I’ll deal with Dana and your contract later. The UFC is not the only game in town. Zubaira is welcome also. #bellator #lecheminduroi.”

The Deal

For those who may not recall, the reason for such an exact amount of money offered by the rapper is due to it matching Nurmagomedov’s fight purse for UFC 229 that is held by the NSAC. McGregor received his full $3 million paycheck.

Floyd Mayweather Thinks Khabib Will Receive ‘Huge’ Fine For ‘Unprofessional’ Brawl

Floyd Mayweather believes Khabib Nurmagomedov should be fined huge for UFC 229 brawl.

The post Floyd Mayweather Thinks Khabib Will Receive ‘Huge’ Fine For ‘Unprofessional’ Brawl appeared first on LowKickMMA.com.

Floyd Mayweather thinks UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov should receive a huge fine for starting the massive brawl at the UFC 229 pay-per-view event. We are a week removed from this incident and more fighters continue to come out to give their take on what appears to be the biggest news story of the year.

His Connection

The undefeated boxing legend does have some history with Conor McGregor and also knows the ins and outs of the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

The boxing match between these fighters took place on August 26th, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It aired live on PPV (pay-per-view) for the low price of $100 for HD and $90 for SD. As seen in the fight, McGregor did show some good things in the ring considering that it was his first outing as a professional. However, he ultimately lost by TKO in the tenth round.

Opinion

Mayweather believes (H/T to Bloody Elbow) that Khabib jumping out of the Octagon and starting a brawl with the corner of the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion was unprofessional.

“From what I heard was that [Khabib Nurmagomedov] after the fight, [Conor] McGregor‘s opponent jumped out the ring and was fighting people in the crowd,” said Mayweather in a recent interview on ITP Live. “Very unprofessional.”

Floyd Mayweather Thinks

The boxing legend also expects the NSAC to hand out a huge fine to the UFC champ and brought up how Zab Judah, who fought Floyd and got into a melee in the ring, received a huge fine for his actions.

“It’s going to be a huge fine, pretty sure,” the boxer continued. “Because with my fight, with Zab Judah, it was a crazy melee in the ring and there was a huge penalty, huge fine. If I’m not mistaken, seven figures. not to me, but could have been to Zab Judah or my uncle Roger or even Leonard Ellerbe.”

Punishment

Thus, at the end of the day, when a fighter acts out, there will be a punishment handed out. It should be noted that an NSAC hearing is scheduled for Oct. 24 where Khabib, as well as McGregor, will face the board for their actions. Thus, this is when we’ll know the outcome of this brawl whether that be a suspension or fine.

“So I know with a guy jumpin’ out the cage into the audience and fightin’ different people, the fine is going to be crazy.”

Rafael Dos Anjos challenges the training partner of former UFC lightweight and featherweight champ Conor McGregor to a fight that will be up for some big money.

Leading Up

The feud between RDA and Dillon Danis all started after the former UFC lightweight champion had some harsh comments about the UFC 229 brawl. RDA took to his official Twitter account where he called Danis a “nobody.” This led to Danis responding to RDA by challenging the former UFC champion to a fight.

Rafael Dos Anjos Challenges

Now, with Danis being serious about, RDA decided to take it one step further by offering a formal challenge. This includes putting big money on the line. He wrote the following on Twitter:

“Why don’t we do like you said to Kevin Lee? I put 100k you put 100k I can go to your gym or you come to my, we jump in the cage with no time whoever walks out take the 200k #yourmove.”

History

For those who may not remember, this feud has some history behind it as they have beefed before through the power of social media. Dos Anjos was supposed to defend the UFC lightweight title against McGregor in 2016. However, this fight got nixed once RDA pulled out with an injury. It would lead to Eddie Alvarez getting the title from Dos Anjos and McGregor later beat him at UFC 205.

Once Upon A Time

Danis recently brought up how Kevin Lee told MMAjunkie Radio that a $100,000 jiu-jitsu match with him was planned. This never happened though. However, Danis didn’t forget about it and brought the talk to life.

“You said you tapped me in a straight roll so I challenged you to show the world what you said was true while making 100k, I see a scared man here backing away from his words now bow down to the king of Jiu Jitsu.”

The Khabib-Conor Brawl

This massive brawl that was started by Khabib Nurmagomedov at the UFC 229 pay-per-view event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Obviously, this led to chaos breaking out that involved the UFC champ, Conor McGregor, and their respective camps.

Nurmagomedov beat former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor by fourth-round neck crank in the main event. Following the fight, Khabib went flying out of the Octagon and got into a brawl with some of McGregor’s teammates including his training partner Dillon Danis.

New Angle

New footage of the melee is surfacing as the latest video angle gives fans a different look at what exactly happened. It’s safe to say that the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) would like to have access to this footage.

Regarding the footage, we can see three men from Khabib’s side swinging on McGregor inside the Octagon.

Past Videos

The previous videos show Conor taking a swing at one of Khabib’s teammates who were in the process of jumping the cage. This led to chaos breaking out inside of the Octagon.

Aftermath

Once this brawl was tamed, the men were arrested and subsequently released after McGregor decided it was best to not press charges. Now, the UFC lightweight champion and McGregor must go in front of the NSAC in order to find out their punishments going forward.

The UFC went out of their way to have the most security ever for this fight as they knew they might need it. You also have to give credit to the security and police officers on the way that they defused the situation the best they could.
