Jake Paul Donald Cerrone

Undefeated professional boxer, Jake Paul appears less than interested in a potential fight with former UFC lightweight title challenger, Donald Cerrone, admitting that he would most likely fight an opponent closer to his own age.

Paul, 25, a native of Ohio, has enjoyed an undefeated professional boxing career since his debut back in 2020, landing six consecutive victories.

The YouTube content creator most recently headlined an October pay-per-view event under the Showtime banner, handing former undisputed UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva a unanimous decision loss over the course of eight rounds in Glendale, Arizona.

Turning in three victories over the course of 2021, Paul managed to hand a stunning first round KO loss to former ONE Championship and Bellator champion, UFC alum, Ben Askren – before twice facing Tyron Woodley.

Matching with the St. Louis veteran, Paul managed to land a split decision win, before stopping the former welterweight kingpin in brutal fashion in an immediate rematch, courtesy of a faceplanting sixth round KO also in December of that year.

Last week, Cerrone, an alum of both the UFC and the now-defunct, WEC, offered praise to Paul, admitting that he was capable of landing lucrative paydays in the sport of boxing, before claiming that he would entertain a potential clash if an offer came across the table.

Jake Paul uninterested in clash against Donald Cerrone next

However, in response to Cerrone’s comments, Paul admitted that the former’s interest in a fight with him was “interesting”, but expressed how he wanted to move on and fight younger competition going forward.

“He called me out?” Jake Paul said of Donald Cerrone during an interview with The Schmo. What did he say? Is he out of his UFC contract? Interesting. I mean, I don’t know. I’m kinda tired of beating these old dudes up like that, you know what I’m saying?”

“I’m just trying to get someone in there who is younger, but they’re all scared, honestly.” Jake Paul explained. “They’re all just trying to protect their record.”

Darren Till Andrew Tate

UFC middleweight contender, Darren Till appears to have once more voiced his support for controversial social media commenter, Andrew Tate amid the American-born’s latest arrest in Romania, as part of an investigation into alleged human trafficking, and rape

Till, the current #15 ranked middleweight contender under the banner of the UFC, most recently suffered his third straight loss, in the form of a third round rear-naked choke submission loss against Dricus du Plessis at UFC 282 last month.

Tate, a native of America who spent his childhood in Luton, England – was arrested last week in Romania, as part of an investigation into an alleged human trafficking ring, rape, and the forming of an organized crime group.

A former kickboxing champion, Tate had received mass attention across social media over the last 18 months, due to his controversial views of women, social commentary, and grandiose lifestyle. Tate was also pictured alongside the likes of UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, and undisputed welterweight champion, Leon Edwards.

Tate is under investigation currently by the DIICOT following his arrest and detention at a Bucharest police station.

Earlier this summer, Darren Till, a native of Liverpool, voiced his clear support for Tate amid controversy surrounding his views, tweeting, “Andrew Tate is the best thing to happen to the internet in recent years.” back in August of last year.

Across his social media this week in the wake of Tate’s arrest, Darren Till retweeted a post stating, “I stand with Andrew Tate” – accompanied by the hashtag, “#FreeTopG” – a moniker given to Tate across social media.

Darren Till is without a UFC victory in three years

In the midst of a three-fight losing run, Till, who has yet to land a professional victory since 2019, dropped back-to-back losses to former champion, Robert Whittaker, and Derek Brunson, before his December one-sided submission loss to du Plessis.

Khabib Nurmagomedov Scott Coker

Former undisputed UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov is said to have been left awestruck by last weekend’s Bellator MMA vs. Rizin event in Saitama, Japan – describing the cross-promoted event as “unbelievable” according to Bellator president, Scott Coker.

Khabib, a former undisputed lightweight champion under the banner of the UFC, retired from active competition back in October 2020 on ‘Fight Island’ in Abu Dhabi, UAE – improving to 29-0 with a second round triangle submission win over then-interim titleholder, Justin Gaethje

In the time since, the Dagestan native has turned his hand successfully to coaching – guiding both Islam Makhachev, and Usman Nurmagomedov to lightweight gold under the UFC and Bellator MMA banners, respectively, as well as heading up Florida-based promotion, Eagle FC.

Scott Coker details attending Bellator MMA vs. Rizin alongside Khabib Nurmagomedov

Attending Bellator MMA vs. Rizin on New Year’s Eve at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan, Khabib, who sat alongside the above-mentioned, Coker, is said to have been left in amazement by the event and pageantry.

“It’s very interesting, because he (Khabib Nurmagomedov) wasn’t here in the heyday,” Scott Coker told assembled media at the post-fight press conference. “I got to see those fights. A lot ofyou know that [I’ve been] in the martial arts business a long time, I started working for K-1 in 199, so I got to see all the great fights in K-1. I got to see the great fights of PRIDE. And Khabib has never see the production and the fans, and he was freaking out.”

“He was telling me, ‘This is unbelievable,’” Scott Coker said of Khabib Nurmagomedov. “He kept telling me, ‘This is unbelievable. I had no idea that something like this was happening in Japan.’ And I said, ‘This is where it started, Khabib.’ This is where MMA and martial arts combat – it started here, it grew throughout the rest of the world, but there was a time when Japan had the best fighters in the world, the best production in the world, the best promotion in the world, and that’s why the UFC bought it (PRIDE). Just like my company, Strikefroce, I think we had a great roster, great events, so they (the UFC) bought it.” (Transcribed by MMA Fighting)
