Sean Strickland isn’t wanting to date anyone whilst competing in the fight game but has his eyes set on someone for when he retires.

The outspoken middleweight was voicing his opinions on his social media when adult film star Karma RX took a particular liking to the #6 ranked contender. Karma responded to the post saying:

It wasn’t long before MMA fans clued into what Karma’s profession was and before she knew it the adult film star was bombarded by a ton of overwhelming fans, which could’ve made her realize she had made a mistake.

The conversation would continue with the pair going back and forth with Karma admitting that ‘well, this has gone horribly.’ Strickland responded once again saying ‘Your bio really speaks to me…me too…me too lol,’ to which seemed to be received well by Karma.

Sean Strickland then asked the big question, which again given the response should leave the fighter feeling hopeful.

Sean Strickland Provides Update on Karma RX

After besting Jack Hermanson over five rounds at UFC Vegas 47, Sean Strickland was quick to provide an update on his and Karma’s relationship which had clearly caught the eye of a few fans following their Twitter conversation.

“Oh, you’re talking about my girl Karma. Ugh, you’re going to get me in trouble. No, one of these days, maybe when she retires and I retire, we’ll get it going.

“But I mean, how do you—girl fuckin’ sucks d*ck for a living, bro. What do you say? Like, she just got a bunch of dudes cummin’ in her and you’re like, ‘Hey, wanna go on a date, babe? Wanna go get a steak dinner? As she’s cleaning off her lip.”

“But I will say one thing. Let me compliment my girl fuckin’ Karma. I wanna give her a compliment,” Strickland added.

“That girl’s life was way fu*kin’ harder than me. And yeah, she does suck a little d*ck, but at the end of the day, that fu*kin’ b*tch makes more money than me, you, and the man with the gay haircut. I mean, in all fairness, she should be a meth addict in a fuc*kin’ dumpster. So a lot of people hate on Karma, but at the end of the day, man, girl’s fu*kin’ doing well for herself.” (Transcribed by middleeasy.com)

Given his latest comments maybe it wasn’t meant to be after all, but that does not change the fact that Sean Strickland remains one of the most unique fighters if not people to ever enter the UFC.

Jack Hermansson Responds to Sean Strickland Loss With Poem

Jack Hermansson

After a tough split-decision loss to Sean Strickland, Jack Hermansson has taken to social media and addressed the situation with a poem.

“I’m sorry fans, about tonight, I had a bad performance, and I lost the fight. It wasn’t pretty, or technically sound. I couldn’t get the bastard to the ground. Sorry Sean this one went to a decision. Best of luck to murder your next competition.”

Strickland responded respectfully, saying: “Thank you man it was an honor. I hope we meet again! True warrior…”

Jack Hermansson In Trouble, and What’s Next for Strickland?

Jack Hermansson (22-7, 9-5 UFC) had a tough outing at UFC Vegas 47. He couldn’t implement his grappling game effectively and struggled with Strickland’s standup. The fight was slower-paced for the majority of it but the last few rounds heated up and it ended with a crescendo as Hermansson and Strickland resulted in slugging it out before time expired.

With this loss, “The Joker” is now 2-3 in his last five fights. This puts him in a rocky situation. While he is facing the best of the best in his division, the UFC has shown before that they are ruthless with the chopping block. It’s unknown who he faces next but names like Paulo Costa or even a Kelvin Gastelum rematch could potentially make sense.

Sean Strickland (25-3, 12-3 UFC) is now riding a six-fight win streak, and his first shot at a UFC title looks to be drawing near. This fight didn’t end spectacularly and was a bit lackluster to some so the general opinion so far is “Tarzan” has at least one more win to garner before he truly “deserves” the shot. He has gone on record to say he is close to Marvin Vettori (who’s ahead of him in the rankings) so a fight with him most likely wouldn’t happen, unless there was a lot of money involved.

UFC middleweight Jack Hermansson has spoken out on social media for the first time since his decision loss to Sean Strickland at UFC Vegas 47.

Hermansson got out-paced and out-struck from start to finish against Strickland. He had issues getting the fight to the ground and dealing with Strickland’s clean boxing techniques.

Hermansson has traded wins and losses over his last five fights and entered UFC Vegas 47 off of an impressive win over Edmen Shahbazyan. However, he was unable to replicate his earlier success and suffered a setback in his pursuit of a middleweight title shot.

The day after the event, Hermansson addressed his fans and Strickland in an Instagram post.

“I’m sorry fans, about tonight,” Hermansson said. “I had a bad performance, and I lost the fight. It wasn’t pretty, or technically sound. I could get the bastard to the ground. Sorry Sean this one went to a decision. Best of luck to murder your next competition.”

Hermansson is one of the few top middleweight contenders who hasn’t fought middleweight champion Israel Adesanya yet. He had an outside chance of potentially receiving the next title shot if he was able to get past Strickland.

Hermansson has previously claimed that he feels he’s the toughest matchup for Adesanya. Now, his loss to Strickland will surely put him back on the outside looking into the title picture.

At 33 years old, Hermansson still has plenty of time to potentially get on a winning streak and earn an elusive title shot. But he’ll need to bounce back in a big way against his next opponent.

UFC veteran Sam Alvey isn’t done fighting despite a disappointing loss to short-notice replacement Brendan Allen at UFC Vegas 47.

Alvey’s loss to Allen came via submission in Round 2. He had some moments early in the fight on the feet, but Allen was able to put a torrid pace on him and eventually secure the rear-naked choke for the win.

Alvey, who promised never to lose again following a 2018 defeat to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, has now gone winless over his last eight fights. His last win came against Gian Villante at UFC Fight Night 131 via split decision.

Following his loss to Allen, many speculated that Alvey’s retirement announcement could be inevitable. But during a recent video on his TikTok page, Alvey sounded optimistic regarding his fighting future.

“Hey guys, I’m fresh off my UFC fight and as I’m sure a lot of you saw, I did not — I didn’t get it done,” Alvey said. “I’ve lost a step. Something needs to change and I’m gonna make the correction.

“I’m not done fighting but I love this sport and you know what? God has blessed me. God, I raise God’s name on a high. I would not have the career I’ve had without him and I really have had a good career. I’ve had a long career.

“I’ve had — shoot, that was my 23rd fight in the UFC. I’ve had a career that people dream of. I’m not done fighting but I know I need to take a little bit of a hiatus.

“My YouTube channel, I’m gonna really push that. I wanna help coach, I wanna help coach you guys. If you have questions, if you wanna learn from me, if you wanna teach me, follow me on there, follow me here. I’m gonna keep pushing. I wanna help others win, I’m winning again too.

“I’m not done. I love you guys.” (h/t BJPenn)

Alvey has a history of staying positive and outspoken following his losses. However, it’s clear that he feels especially defeated by this latest setback at UFC Vegas 47.

Alvey made his debut with the UFC back in 2014, losing to Tom Watson before winning three-straight. He would go on to compete against the top middleweights in the promotion, earning wins over the likes of former UFC champion Rashad Evans and former Strikeforce champion Nate Marquardt.

It’s unclear what Alvey’s UFC future holds, but he seems optimistic regarding a return to the cage to get his first win in nearly four years.

What do you think Sam Alvey should do next?

Sean Strickland Eyes Israel Adesanya Title Fight: “Let’s Get Some Fresh Blood In There”

Sean Strickland feels he’s done enough for a matchup with Israel Adesanya, but will understand if he needs one more win at middleweight.

Strickland used his boxing and torrid pace to outlast Jack Hermansson at UFC Vegas 47. Hermansson couldn’t get Strickland to the ground and Strickland was able to outclass him on the feet.

Strickland is in an interesting position in the middleweight title picture. While he’s undefeated since moving from welterweight to middleweight, he arguably didn’t put on enough of a show-stopping performance to earn the next title shot.

Derek Brunson and Jared Cannonier will fight on the UFC 271 main card, while Adesanya will face Robert Whittaker in a title rematch. Depending on how things play out, the winner of those two matchups could fight against one another next.

During his UFC Vegas 47 post-fight press conference, Strickland kept things in perspective as he moves closer to a shot at the belt.

Sean Strickland Makes Case For Next Title Shot

“At the end of the day, if f**king Izzy wins, if Cannonier wins, then Cannonier’s probably next,” Strickland said. “But he’s already ran through the division, let’s get some fresh blood in there. We don’t want to see another repeat. Let’s see a white trash motherf**ker get a crack at it.”

With the win over Hermansson, Strickland has now won six straight since moving back to 185 pounds. He’s earned knockout wins over Brendan Allen and Nordine Taleb while outpassing fighters such as Uriah Hall and Krzysztof Jotko.

One thing that Strickland does have going for him moving forward is his ability to market himself and his fights. This could be a welcomed opponent as Adesanya or Whittaker get ready to make their next title defense following UFC 271.

It’s unclear what’s next for Strickland, but he’s clearly the dark horse of the middleweight title picture and could get a No. 1 title contender fight next, at the worst.

The UFC Vegas 47 bonuses have been released.

The event took place in Las Vegas, Nevada at the UFC Apex facility. Headlining the card was a middleweight clash between Jack Hermansson and Sean Strickland. This fight didn’t have the ingredients of a great fight if not even a good fight.

It was lacking pace with Jack not being able to get takedowns as he would like and couldn’t find his range. Sean was finding a home for his jabs throughout it and looked fresh throughout the entire fight without taking damage. Sean was doing a good job of keeping up on the scorecards, but for a guy who is trying to make a title run, he didn’t do anything to be memorable. Strickland got the win by decision.

The co-main event saw more action between Punahele Soriano and Nick Maximov. It went the distance as the first round saw Soriano caught him with a big knee strike to the jaw, but Nick went for a takedown and failed to get it. He did jump on Soriano’s back to go for a choke, but didn’t get it.

In the second round, Nick continued to work for takedowns and got them, but he couldn’t keep him there. Moving along to the third round, Nick got a takedown and kept him there for the remainder of the fight to get the decision win.
