The UFC’s 20th anniversary show will feature at least one title fight.
Georges St-Pierre is expected to defend his welterweight belt against Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 on Nov. 16 in Las Vegas. FUEL TV’s “UFC Tonight” reported the news on Tuesday after TVA Sports in Quebec first passed it along Monday night.
The fight would mark GSP’s first in “Sin City” since he beat Thiago Alves at UFC 100 in 2009. It would also mark his first fight outside of Canada since he defeated Dan Hardy at UFC 111 in 2010.
St-Pierre (24-2) enters the bout riding an 11-fight winning streak. His last six wins have come via decision.
Hendricks (15-1) has won his last six in a row, most recently defeating Carlos Condit via unanimous decision in March.
UFC president Dana White told MMAFighting.com last week that the promotion had yet to decide how it will celebrate its 20th birthday. UFC 1 was held on Nov. 12, 1993.
