You can add Luke Rockhold’s name to the growing list of American Kickboxing Academy fighters competing at UFC 166.
Rockhold will join teammates Cain Velasquez and Daniel Cormier on the Oct. 19 card when he meets Tim Boetsch in middleweight action, according to ESPN.com, who confirmed the fight with UFC officials.
Rockhold (10-2) lost his UFC debut to Vitor Belfort in May. The loss snapped the former Strikeforce middleweight champion’s nine-fight winning streak.
Boetsch (16-6) will look to get back on the winning track after losing his last two fights in a row. He most recently lost to Mark Munoz via unanimous decision at UFC 162.
UFC 166, which will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, will be headlined by Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos 3 for the UFC heavyweight title. Cormier will meet Roy Nelson in the co-main event.
