Brazil’s Julio Cesar “Morceguinho” Neves, a top prospect in the 145-pound division, added another win to his impressive record on Saturday at WOCS, and he did it in outstanding fashion.

Fighting out of Santa Catarina, Brazil, “Morceguinho” scored his 13th win in 2013 with a first-round knockout at WOCS 28, dropping Dener Chuleta with a capoeira kick in less than three minutes. It was his 17th KO or TKO victory in MMA, 12 of them in the first round.

WOCS 28 took place in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul.

In the main event, Muay Thai specialist Claudiere Freitas returned to the win column after suffering back-to-back losses, scoring a submission victory over Cleiton “Foguete” Duarte. Freitas tapped the TUF Brazil 2 alum with a tight guillotine with 17 seconds left in the third and final round.
