Who says zombies don’t get injured?

In the end, Chan Sung Jung (more commonly known as “The Korean Zombie”) was forced to undergo surgery for a dislocated right shoulder and broken orbital bone following his lose to Jose Aldo at UFC 163 earlier this month.

Chan-Sung’s manager Brian Rhee confirmed the surgeries to MMAFighting.com.

“Most likely, he’ll be out a year,” Rhee said, “but that depends on how rehab goes.”

Aldo defeated Chan-Sung via fourth-round TKO moments after the Korean dislocated his shoulder. Following the fight, Chan-Sung said he didn’t think surgery would be necessary for his injured shoulder.

The fight was Chan-Sung’s first since May 2012 due to left shoulder surgery, and it now appears the 26-year-old will be sidelined for an extended period of time again.
