A light heavyweight bout pitting former Strikeforce champion Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante against Igor Pokrajac has been booked for the fight card of UFC Fight Night 32.
UFC officials announced the match-up on Thursday.
Cavalcante (11-4, 1 NC) looks to rebound after losing via first-round TKO to Thiago Silva in his UFC debut. Despite his setback, the wild back-and-forth bout earned Cavalcante ‘Fight of the Night’ honors.
Pokrajac (25-10, 1 NC), meanwhile, simply hopes to climb back into the win column after failing to get his hand raised in three straight UFC contests. The 34-year-old lost to Vinny Magalhaes, Joey Beltran and Ryan Jimmo in succession, however the Beltran result was subsequently overturned into a ‘no contest’ after Beltran tested positive for the anabolic steroid nandrolone.
UFC officials also confirmed a previously reported bout, TUF Brazil winner Cezar Ferreira vs. Daniel Sarafian, will be featured as the night’s co-main event.
UFC Fight Night 32 takes place November 9, 2013 at the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goias, Brazil. A light heavyweight rematch between Vitor Belfort vs. Dan Henderson headlines the event.
