Another bout has been added to Titan Fighting Championship’s next card on Feb. 28.
Titan FC 27, which will be televised on CBS Sports Network, will feature a flyweight match-up between Pedro Nobre and Bill Friday, according to Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson.
Nobre (15-1-2, 1 no-contest) makes his first appearance in a non-Brazilian promotion since a controversial no-contest in his UFC debut in 2013 against Iuri Alcantara. “Pedrinho” has fought only once since, stopping Brazilian veteran Eduardo Felipe with punches to win the WebFight flyweight championship.
Friday (4-2) makes his Titan FC debut riding a three-fight win streak. The 27-year-old flyweight has won all of his professional MMA fights via submission, but has been finished in his two losses.
Titan Fighting Championship 27 will be headlined by Mike Ricci vs. Jorge Gurgel, and Matt Riddle takes on Michael Kuiper in the co-main event at the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas. Gleristone Santos, Nobre’s teammate at Brazilian Top Team, meets Kalvin Hackney.
