Ryan Jimmo (18-3) will roll out the welcome mat for former semi-pro hockey enforcer Steve Bosse (10-1), as Jimmo and the UFC newcomer are expected to collide April 16 in a light heavyweight bout at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale.

UFC officials announced Bosse’s signing along with the match-up on Wednesday.

Jimmo, 32, has fallen on hard times as of late, dropping two of his last three UFC bouts after roaring to a seven-second knockout victory over Antony Perosh in his promotional debut. Bad luck doomed Jimmo in his most recent fight, as an unfortunate second-round leg injury led to a premature end to the Canadian’s battle against Jimi Manuwa.

Meanwhile Bosse, 32, joins the UFC with a well-deserved reputation as a finisher. Bosse’s resumé includes notable victories over former UFC fighters Houston Alexander, Wes Sims, and Marvin Eastman, while nine of the Canadian’s 10 career wins have ended within the distance, including eight knockouts.

TUF Nations Finale is expected to take place at the Colisée Pepsi in Quebec City, Canada. An updated fight card can be seen below.
