Undefeated Brazilian lightweight Edson Barboza will likely
serve the first obligation of a multi-fight deal with the UFC when he
meets Darren Elkins at UFC 123.
Sources close to the event informed MMAjunkie.com of
the matchup Wednesday evening and said at least one of the fighters has already agreed to the proposed contest, though bout agreements have yet to be distributed.
UFC 123 is expected to take place Nov. 20 at The Palace of Auburn Hills
in suburban Detroit. A light heavyweight match between former champions
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Lyoto Machida headlines.
