Leonard Garcia will finally return to the cage.

Garcia, who was forced out of a title defense bout with Shane Howell in March because of health issues, is set to put his title on the line against undefeated Damon Jackson in the Legacy FC 33 main event, Legacy FC owner Mick Maynard informed MMAFighting.com.

Legacy FC 33 card takes place at the Allen Event Center in Dallas, Texas, on July 18.

Garcia (18-11-1), a long-time UFC and WEC veteran, claimed the Legacy FC featherweight title with a first-round TKO victory over Kevin Aguilar in December, moving to 3-0 with three finishes since leaving the UFC in 2013.

Jackson (8-0), who is the first fighter to challenge Garcia for the 145-pound title, earned a shot at the gold after a pair of submission victories under the Legacy FC banner. Jackson has scored stoppages in all of his MMA bouts, including his two bouts at Bellator.
