A scheduled lightweight contest between Joe Ellenberger and Vagner Rocha has been scratched from UFC 172’s fight card after Rocha suffered an undisclosed training injury in Baltimore, UFC officials announced Wednesday.

As a result, an undercard bout between Danny Castillo and Charlie Brenneman, previously scheduled to air on UFC Fight Pass, has been upgraded to the FOX Sports 1 televised preliminaries, while UFC 172 will continue as a 10-fight card.

Rocha (11-3) accepted the fight on less than a week’s notice as a late replacement for Yancy Medeiros.

It’s the second time a UFC debut has been delayed for Ellenberger (14-1), the twin brother of UFC welterweight contender Jake Ellenberger. Ellenberger previously signed with the UFC in 2009, however his career was put on hold upon the discovery that he suffered from PNH, a rare disease that destroys red blood cells.

UFC 172 takes place April 26, 2014 at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, MD.
