Eleven days after a decision loss in the UFC, Rafael dos Anjos already has a date to step back inside the cage.
The UFC announced Wednesday that the Brazilian has agreed to take on Jason High at the UFC Fight Night card in Albuquerque, N.M., on June 7, as “The Kansas City Bandit” makes his lightweight debut.
In his last appearance under the UFC banner, dos Anjos (20-7) suffered a unanimous decision loss against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC on FOX 11. The loss snapped dos Anjos’ five-fight win streak, including victories over the likes of Donald Cerrone, Evan Dunham and Mark Bocek.
High (18-4), a Strikeforce veteran, cuts down to 155 pounds following back-to-back wins over Anthony Lapsley and James Head in the UFC. His only loss inside the Octagon came in a first-round submission against Erick Silva in Brazil.
