Herb Dean to referee Weidman-Machida at UFC 175, Yves Lavigne gets Rousey-Davis

The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) unanimously selected veteran referee Herb Dean on Tuesday to oversee UFC 175’s main event, which will see UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman attempt to defend his belt against former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida.

Nevada regulars Chris Lee, Marcos Rosales and Glen Trowbridge were unanimously selected to judge the middleweight contest.

In addition, NAC officials unanimously appointed referee Yves Lavigne to oversee UFC 175’s women’s bantamweight co-main event, which will see UFC champion Ronda Rousey square off against Alexis Davis.

Derek Cleary, Doug Crosby and Sal D’Amato were selected to judge the co-headlining bout.

UFC 175 is expected to take place July 5, 2014 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
