Marlon Moraes’ first title defense has been set for September.
Moraes, World Series of Fighting’s first bantamweight champion, will put his championship on the line against undefeated Josh Hill on Sept. 13 at WSOF 13. The card will air live on NBC. WSOF officials confirmed a report from Yahoo Sports.
Moraes (13-4-1) became the 135-pound champion with a unanimous decision victory over Josh Rettinghouse in March. Prior to that bout, the Brazilian went 4-0 under the WSOF banner with wins over Miguel Torres, Tyson Nam, Brandon Hempleman and Carson Beebe.
Hill (10-0) earned a shot at the WSOF title after scoring a first-round TKO victory over Mike Adams in his WSOF debut in June. “Gentleman” was a cast member of The Ultimate Fighter 18 in 2013, but went 1-1 on the reality show.
