Paul Daley’s last bout before returning to Bellator won’t be against Igor Fernandes.
Set to headline the BAMMA 16 card in Manchester on Sept. 13, Daley will now face Marinho Moreira da Rocha, as “Chatubinha” was forced to withdraw from the bout with a broken tibia. BAMMA officials confirmed the change to MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani.
Daley (34-13-2), who recently signed a new contract with Bellator MMA, hasn’t fought since a brutal knockout victory over Romario Manoel da Silva at BAMMA 14. “Semtex” has finished five of his last six opponents.
da Rocha (28-6), who just like Daley has won the vast majority of his MMA bouts with stoppages, makes his international debut after winning six straight bouts via knockout in Brazil.
BAMMA 16 takes place at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, England.
