Top-ranked lightweight contender Rafael dos Anjos led the reported payroll for UFC Fight Night 49, taking home $76,000 for his stunning main event knockout win over Benson Henderson, according to information released to MMAFighting.com by the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission.
Henderson, a former UFC lightweight champion who previous to the setback had never suffered a defeat via KO/TKO, earned $48,000 for his losing efforts.
In addition to dos Anjos and Henderson, four fighters from the card earned reported salaries above $30,000. UFC veteran Mike Pyle pocketed $51,000 for his first-round loss to Jordan Mein, while Mein, Thales Leites, and Max Holloway all took home $40,000 for their respective victories on the night’s main card, which aired live on FOX Sports 1.
UFC Fight Night 49 took place August 23, 2014 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK.
