Bellator MMA will return to Iowa in October, and the first bout of the card is already set.
Sources close to the situation told MMAFighting.com that Strikeforce veteran James Terry is set to collide with Brazilian welterweight Andre Santos at the Bellator 129 card on Oct. 17.
Terry (14-7) looks for his first win under the Bellator banner after coming up short against Rick Reeves in his promotional debut in April. He scored a first-round TKO win over Daniel McWilliams at Battle of the Bay 3 in July. Terry went 6-4 in Strikeforce between 2009-12.
Santos (36-9) makes his Bellator debut riding a five-fight winning streak. The grappling wizard finished 22 of his 36 professional victories via submission, including 15 anaconda chokes.
The event takes place at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Bellator last hosted a card in the city in April, when Douglas Lima scored a TKO victory over Rick Hawn to win the vacant welterweight championship.
