As part of a promotional push for “EA Sports MMA,” officials from the videogame maker convinced Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker to hold a rare mid-week show back in June.
The event, “Strikeforce: Los Angeles,” saw an abbreviated fight card and smaller-than-usual ratings.
But the event also drew rave reviews from attendees and TV viewers, and those are big reasons why Coker told MMAjunkie.com Radio the organization is planning a return to the state-of-the-art facility next year.
