Josh Grispi indicted on range of additional charges

Former UFC featherweight Josh Grispi, 25, was indicted Thursday on a range of additional charges stemming from two August domestic dispite incidents where he arrested twice in just a matter of days.

“The Fluke” is alleged to have physically abused his wife and used his dog to attack her, among a range of other alleged crimes.

Grispi, who is currently being held on $200,000 bail related to those incidents (which include four counts of improper storage of a large-capacity firearm near minor, three counts of improper storage of a firearm near a minor and assault and battery) received a new set of charges this week.

According to The Boston Globe, those include “animal cruelty and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon – a dog – on various days from July 1 to July 31.”

In addition, Grispi is also being charged with six counts of witness intimidation related to alleged activities from August 8 to 18th. In that same time period, Plymouth County, Massachusetts district prosecutors also allege Grispi committed two counts of “tampering with a record for use in an official proceeding, and one count of attempting to procure another to commit perjury.”

Grispi fought four times for the UFC from January 2011 to February 2013, but a total of eight for Zuffa-backed organizations dating back to his WEC debut in February of 2008. He was released from the UFC following his last loss.
