Quinton Jackson might not be in Bellator anymore, but his rivalry with Muhammed Lawal lives on.
“Rampage” blasted Lawal on Twitter for his tactical performance against Jackson’s friend Cheick Kong at Bellator 134 on Friday night at Mohegan Sun. “King Mo” used his wrestling base to frustrate Kongo for three rounds en route to a split decision victory.
In the tweet, “Rampage” called Lawal a “lil bitch” and a “coward.” Jackson fought and beat Lawal by unanimous decision at Bellator 120 last May. The bad blood between the two men was so strong that “Rampage” requested a rematch event though he won.

That rematch will likely never happen since Jackson, 36, stunningly signed back with the UFC in December after leaving the organization in 2013. Bellator still claims “Rampage” was under contract with its promotion and the case is currently being hashed out by lawyers. Jackson is supposed to face Fabio Maldonado at UFC 186 on April 25 in Montreal.
Lawal, 34, has now won three in a row in Bellator after the loss to Jackson. “King Mo” moved up in weight to face Kongo and was at a serious size disadvantage. Instead of wilting in that scenario, Lawal fought the smarter, more technical fight and grounded the powerful former UFC heavyweight time and time again.
“King Mo” did what he needed to do to secure the victory — regardless of how the strategy might have been perceived by his bitter enemy Jackson.
