MVP is back.
Michael Page, who had to pull out of his fight in February, will return against Rudy Bears at Bellator 140 on July 17 at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, Bellator announced Friday.
“Venom” is undefeated at 7-0 and one of the most exciting fighters on the Bellator roster. Page, 28, has won both of his fights in Bellator and is coming off a unanimous decision over Nah-Shon Burrell last October. The England native was forced to pull out of a bout with Curtis Millender at Bellator 134 on Feb. 27 after sustaining an injury during fight week.
Bears (16-13) is an MMA veteran with fights in Strikeforce, Bellator, Titan FC and numerous other regional promotions. The 36-year-old has won two straight and will be back in Bellator for the first time since 2012. Like Page, Bears is a striker with a background in karate.
Bellator 140 is headlined by a welterweight title fight between champion Douglas Lima and Andrey Koreshkov. A bout between prospect Chris Honeycutt and Paul Bradley has also been booked for the Uncasville, Conn., card.
