Paul-DaleyHaving signed UFC cast away Paul “Semtex” Daley (25-9-2), Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker has taken on not just another welterweight fighter with knockout power, but he’s also brought on all of the drama that has followed the fighter since he punched opponent Josh Koscheck after the bell.

Coker feels that despite the incident that “Paul’s a good kid” and that they’ll be keeping a close watch of the British fighter when he steps into the cage to make his Strikeforce debut.

“Semtex” is set to face come-from-behind knock-out winner, Scott Smith on December 4th at the upcoming Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu event.

Despite this being Daley’s first fight, Coker has his next opponent lined up also, should he win with the winner of that fight moving onto a title shot.

“We’re definitely going to keep our eye on him and make sure he abides by the rules and the regulations with the commissions that we’re promoting in and along with the Strikeforce rules. The fight that we’re discussing internally if Paul gets past Scott maybe he and Evangelista Cyborg could fight. We could put that fight together in relatively quick fashion, maybe next year in the next three or four months, we can put that fight together and the winner of that fight could fight Nick Diaz.”
