Hold on to your butts.
After news broke Tuesday that UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo had suffered a fractured rib in sparring, the collective MMA world began speculating wildly as to the fate of the UFC 189 main event.
Well, one half of the bout seems to be taking the news pretty well.
According to a late-night tweet from No. 1 contender Conor McGregor, all may not be lost.
Just know that it is business as usual up here at the top. See you all on July 11th. pic.twitter.com/WXGPRFWj0y

While some media and commentators had hoped the bout would be pushed to Sept. 5 at UFC 191 in Las Vegas, McGregor doesn’t sound as if his plans have changed. He’s seen finishing up his nightly workout from the UFC’s training center in Las Vegas, where he’s held camp since early May.
We learned Tuesday evening that Aldo would wait on a decision to withdraw from that bout until he had consulted with his doctors Thursday morning. According to his manager and head trainer Andre Pederneiras, Aldo would be sidelined until October if they don’t feel he’s ready to fight on July 11.
For now, we wait for more news of Aldo’s injury with bated breath.
UFC 189 takes place July 11 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
