Paul Felder gets quick turnaround vs. Ross Pearson at UFC 191

Paul Felder was upset about his loss just two weeks ago. He’ll have the chance to correct those mistakes in a hurry.

Felder will take on Ross Pearson at UFC 191 on Sept. 5, UFC vice president of public relations Dave Sholler confirmed Friday on Twitter. The MMA Corner reported the news earlier this week.

Felder (10-1) won his first two fights in the UFC, including a spinning back fist knockout of Danny Castillo at UFC 182 back in January. But his undefeated record was tarnished by Barboza in an incredibly entertaining, stand-up war at UFC on FOX 16 on July 25. Barboza edged out a decision, but Felder certainly had his moments. Felder, 30, is one of the more exciting up-and-coming fighters in the lightweight division. The Philadelpha native, who trains at Donald Cerrone’s ranch, is also a former theater actor.

Pearson (17-9) has lost two of three and alternated wins and losses since last year. The exciting British kickboxer is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Evan Dunham last month at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Leites in Scotland. Pearson, 30, has 12 finishes in 17 career fights.

UFC 191 is headlined by a flyweight title fight between champion Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson. The co-main event pits together two heavyweight legends in Frank Mir and Andrei Arlovski. Also on the card, Anthony Johnson will take on Jimi Manuwa.
