Conor McGregor found himself in hot water with the Irish Police Force a few weeks ago after a photo surfaced of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion sitting in one of his luxury vehicles while brandishing an air-soft gun.

Put the fight game in the bag and step away from the vehicle.
Despite apologizing for the incident — before throwing some salt at the media for creating stories and saying it was simply done as practice for a movie role — police investigated the matter due to the strict gun laws in the country.
But according to TMZ Sports, “Notorious” will not be facing any criminal charges after authorities declared that “no offense was committed.”
It’s a good thing, too, as Conor is gearing up to face lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos in the main event of UFC 197 on March 5, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada (details here).
And a legal issue looming over his head is the last thing he needs if he’s trying to concentrate on adding the 155-pound strap to a mantle that already holds the featherweight title. Plus, as we’ve seen in the past, controversial legal matters don’t sit too well with the higher-ups at ZUFFA.
While he understandably wants to live life to the fullest given all of his recent success, it wouldn’t be the worst thing if he took his foot off the gas pedal, just a little bit.
