Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently updated its official fighter rankings to reflect the results of its UFC Fight Night 81 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which took place last Sunday night (Jan. 17, 2016) inside TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
As expected, Dominick Cruz is back on top of the UFC bantamweight division, thanks to a five-round decision win over former 135-pound champ TJ Dillashaw (watch it). Elsewhere on the card, Eddie Alvarez turned away Anthony Pettis by way of split decision and for his efforts (replay), found himself promoted to No. 1 at 155 pounds.
Top middleweight contender Yoel Romero, meanwhile, coughed up his spot in the 185-pound rankings after running afoul of USADA (more on that fiasco here).
That’s not all.
Here’s what the latest ranking field looks like courtesy of UFC.com. Note: (+/- = movement in rankings, *NR = Not previously ranked).

There you have it.
You can expect these standings to change in less than two weeks — especially in the light heavyweight division — as UFC on FOX 18: “Johnson vs. Bader” lights up the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Sat., Jan. 30, 2016 (more on that fight card here).
