Cerrone celebrates MLK day with team photo

Celebrating racial unity and harmony. Or something.

In the spirit of Dr Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday earlier this week, Donald Cerrone and his teammates at Jackson/Winklejohn’s gym had a rather unorthodox celebration of the activist’s birthday. The commemorated the event with a group photo of the team, or at least part of the team. Cerrone posted the results on Instagram.

Happy MLK ‘s

Happy MLK ‘s

As you can see, he’s joined by the likes of Derek BrunsonJohn Dodson, Phil Hawes and Alistair Overeem, among others. There’s a degree of unity, I guess. Cerrone is many things to many people, but now we can add another title – that of a true uniter of men, bringing us all together in the spirit of combat to an ideal of true brotherhood that transcends those things that make us different.

Either that or he’s just a lovable goof that likes a fair dose of risqué humor. As a matter of fact, we should probably go with that. Cerrone will be fighting Tim Means at welterweight in the main event of UFC Fight Night 82 on February 21st, live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
