It’s almost official.

The much-anticipated rematch between current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier, and ex-division king Jon Jones, is set to be announced in the next couple of days according to UFC’s Vice President of Public Relations, Dave Sholler.

“We expect to have an announcement within the next couple of days here,” said Sholler during the post-fight press conference (via MMA Fighting). “Things are shaking out, and I think you guys are going to be pleased with the outcome.”

Short, sweet and to the point.

Jones initially defeated Cormier at UFC 182 in January of 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In fact that was the last time “Bones” stepped foot inside the Octagon, as “Bones” was riddled with personal and legal problems that ultimately forced the promotion to strip him of his 205-pound title

Now, a refreshed Jones will look to get back the title he never lost — much like this guy did — when he takes on “DC” later this year.

Any guesses as to when it may go down?
