Excited about his professional MMA debut, Rodolfo Vieira has been training at American Top Team for his fight at Real Fight Championship.

Four-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion, Rodolfo Vieira now has a month and an organization settled for his MMA debut.  Although he has no opponent in sight yet, he will have his first MMA fight in October at Real Fight Championship, a company based in Japan, as Tatame reported.

Already training at American Top Team, Vieira is excited about the transition.

“It has been a good experience. I haven’t had the chance to train MMA yet and I don’t want to, for now. ” He told Portal do Vale Tudo.”I only trained boxing here and I got beat up. So I trained some jiu-jitsu, which is my thing, and I got beat up again. I’m pumped about this transition and I hope it works out.”

Rodolfo Vieira is 26 years-old and apart from being a four-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion, he has also won the jiu-jitsu World Cup six times. Although he fights at super heavyweight (220 lbs) when grappling, his weight class in MMA will be middleweight.
