It looks like CM Punk will be a large betting underdog for his UFC debut.
CM Punk’s UFC debut has been expected for a while now, and it seems that he finally has an opponent – Mickey Gall. Gall defeated Mike Jackson in just 45 seconds at UFC Fight Night 82 to earn his bout with Punk, and it looks like oddsmakers are favoring the guy with the actual fight experience. Here’s the opening 5Dimes line (via MMAOddsbreaker):

Two other books have opened lines on the fight – Bovada and SportBet. Bovada has it a little closer with Gall at -300 and Punk at +230. SportBet sees it in the other direction, with Gall at -362 and Punk at +278.
It’s still not 100% clear when the two men will actually enter the octagon. The early indication is that the bout will take place at UFC 199 underneath a middleweight title rematch between Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman. But it could very well be added to the UFC 200 card, which the UFC is pushing as one of the biggest cards of all time.
