Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris is still under supervision from doctors after suffering from renal failure and severe hydration shortly after his fight with Kimbo Slice at Bellator 149.
According to Dada 5000’s — real name Dhafir Harris — official Facebook page, the heavyweight fighter is still in hospital following his health scare at Bellator 149.
Harris fought street fighting rival Kimbo Slice in the co-main event in a bout that was ridiculed by the MMA community. Both men were visibly exhausted by the end of the 1st round and Dada eventually collapsed in the third. The 38-year-old was rushed to a local hospital in Houston to seek immediate medical attention and is reported to have suffered from renal failure and severe dehydration.
His family say the Floridan is recovering well but is likely to stay under medical supervision until next week.
