Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held its final UFC 196 press conference on Thursday, bringing together Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz for the second time since rubber stamping their upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) main event, taking place on Saturday night (March 5, 2016) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

McGregor will put his quest to capture the lightweight title on hold while Rafael dos Anjos heals his broken foot, and will instead try his luck in the welterweight division — despite holding the strap at 145 pounds — to account for the short-notice change in opponents (while avoiding this).

McGregor and Diaz came together at the conclusion of Thursday’s presser when all hell broke loose:

Nick Diaz and Jake Shields also rushed the stage, which could have led to another Strikeforce: “Nashville” incident, or perhaps a reenactment of the UFC 178 press conference brawl between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed.

Also on hand were UFC 196 non-combative co-headliners Holly Holm and Miesha Tate:
