CNBC’s Jane Wells awkwardly interviews Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz with some very unexpected results.

CNBC is in the business of money, so when the biggest name in MMA becomes the first athlete on the UFC roster to claim a million dollar payday, it makes sense that they would sit up and take notice. Earlier today they released a video interview with the main event athletes from UFC 196, Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz. The interview was conducted by Jane Wells, and it was awkward, to say the least.

After some opening small talk, Wells went straight for the wallet, asking each man how much they’ll be making off the event. McGregor replied that he would “breeze past” the $10M mark, but Diaz didn’t offer a comment. From there, things took a downward turn as Ms. Wells asked how much each man was worth, what were the keys to their success, and oddly, what they thought the UFC needed to do to become more successful than the NFL or NBA.

McGregor joked and poked fun at Wells, at one point even asking to see what she looked like. Diaz took a more drastic measure. He simply got up and left. Here’s the video, in all its oddball glory:
