UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk had some advice for Conor McGregor following his loss at UFC 196.
Though a handful of fighters opted to wallow in Conor McGregor’s shortcomings at UFC 196, another UFC champion had an entirely different perspective on the matter.
Strawweight titleholder Joanna Jedrzejczyk took to Instagram shortly following the Irishman’s second round submission loss to Nate Diaz in PPV’s main event to offer him some advice.
“There will always be haters. There will be people Rooting for you to fail but know that the people that really understand the sport And the business look up to you And for the work that you have done No Result will erase the legacy you have built Never forget that the lions should never lose sleep over the opinion of the sheep.”
Jedrzejczyk is scheduled to defend her strawweight title for the third time when she meet Claudia Gadelha in a rematch of their previous UFC encounter that ended in a split decision. The two finished filming the 23rd edition of The Ultimate Fighter and will meet in the Octagon once again at The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale in Las Vegas on July 8.
