Bellator featherweight champion Daniel Straus went under the knife this past weekend at Forest Surgery Center in San Jose, Calif., to repair the hand he shattered during a unanimous decision win over Patricio Freire back in November.
“Yesterday’s operation was a success thanks to Dr. Stidham,” Straus posted on Instagram (via MMA Junkie). “So what we got here is a titanium plate with six screws. Got a couple videos coming your way so if you have a weak stomach I’d keep scrolling.”
As promised:
Straus (24-6, 1 NC) is targeting a Bellator return later this year.
