Batman vs. Superman comes out this week, and the man portraying the Caped Crusader says he has brought a unique, UFC-inspired angle to his Batman character.

It’d be weird if you haven’t heard about Ben Affleck by now. He’s been the star of countless movies that you either loved or hated, and he’s about to take over a superhero role. Batman himself is apparently ready to face off with Superman in this weekend’s biggest movie opening, so you can find a cool preview here or something.

We’re not a film reviewing site, so I won’t offer up an opinion either way on Affleck’s acting chops. But him referencing the UFC and a star fighter while promoting the movie is certainly unique when it comes to film promotion. This is his description of the new Batman:

“He’s a little bit more of a brawler. You kind of get a feeling like physical, visceral slugger thing. The fights are more like smash-mouth, kind of UFC-influenced. Like Conor McGregor style.”

Despite his loss at UFC 196 to Nate Diaz, it seems that McGregor is still on the tip of everyone’s tongue.

Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice comes out tomorrow, March 25th in North America.
