Former title challenger Kyoji Horiguchi will meet brawler Neil Seery in May.
Kyoji Horiguchi’s next chance to climb back up the flyweight chart will come in Rotterdam. The young Japanese fighter has been booked to take on Irish veteran Neil Seery on May 8th. The UFC made the bout official recently.
Horiguchi (16-2, 5-1 UFC) rebounded from a last-second submission in a title fight with Demetrious Johnson at UFC 186 to pick up a unanimous decision victory over Chico Camus at UFC Japan in September.
Seery (16-11, 3-2 UFC) picked up first performance bonus with a second-round submission win over Jon Delos Reyes at a UFC event in Dublin last October.
The UFC’s first trip to Rotterdam will go down on May 8th, and will feature a heavyweight main event between teammates with Andrei Arlovski taking on Alistair Overeem. Also set for the card is a heavyweight fight between Antonio Silva and Dutch big man Stefan Struve, along with a welterweight bout between Albert Tumenov and Gunnar Nelson.
