UFC Quick Quote: Conor McGregor teammate says ‘Notorious’ will pick Nate Diaz apart in rematch

“I think he will take his time and pick him apart a bit better. I think Diaz won’t be able to get him down when Conor is on, and he reserves his energy and his balance is there. I think the second (fight) Conor will pick him apart, but I think he’ll take a little bit more time doing it. Diaz is a tough guy and he’s used to being in there, but he (McGregor) should’ve put him away. But I think he can if he takes his time.”

He might’ve been a bit somber and telling in defeat, but UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor becomes one angry motherf–ker when you laugh at him from afar.

“Notorious” was downed and choked by Nate Diaz in a welterweight main event at the UFC 196 pay-per-view (PPV) earlier this month and he will likely be running it back with the Stockton slugger shortly at UFC 200 in July.

That’s exactly what you would’ve hoped to hear if you were McGregor training partner, Gunnar Nelson, who recently made a plea to his Irish teammate to not make the cut to 145 pounds anymore. “Gunni” then gave his take to Daily Star (via Bloody Elbow) on the pending collision between the two hot heads.

If Diaz vs. McGregor 2 does come to fruition, the former has just one small request. Oh, and one more thing.

No more excuses.
