It’s been a bumpy road back to the Octagon for Rashad Evans.

The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight champion of the world has now lost two straight since returning to the cage following a lengthy absence due to injury. And following his first-round knockout loss to Glover Teixeira at UFC on FOX 19 in Tampa, Florida (see it), “Suga” says he has a lot of soul searching to do.

That’s because he told FOX Sports immediately after the fight that he needs to find that thing that used to make fighting so easy.

“I want to get back in there, and I obviously I want to fight again. But, there are some things I need to clear up and there are some things that I need to do to get me back. It’s disappointing because you don’t know, it’s like, ‘Where did I lose it?’ Fighting used to come so easy, so natural, and then now it just feels like I am fighting against myself and I just need to get back that thing.”

Prior to facing Glover, Evans was coming in off a unanimous decision loss to Ryan Bader.

Afte coming up short to “Darth,” Evans was adamant retirement wasn’t on his things to do. And if you thought a loss to Glover was going to push him over the edge, your wrong, as he says he still plans on fighting.

But should he?
