UFC fighters react on Twitter to Conor McGregor being pulled from UFC 200

Conor McGregor has been removed from UFC 200, leaving Nate Diaz without an opponent for the big July 9th pay-per-view. Read the reactions from various UFC fighters on Twitter.

It’s been a crazy month for fight cancellations in the UFC. Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones 2? Gone. Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson? Nixed. Dan Henderson vs. Lyoto Machida 2? USADA’d. Now we’ve lost Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz 2, but it’s not because of injury or drug testing. According to Dana White, McGregor didn’t want to fulfill his press conference obligations this week, so they took him off the UFC 200 main event. This follows a tweet from McGregor indicating that he was going to “retire young.”

Let’s take a look at how UFC fighters have reacted to the news in today’s special Twitter roundup. It’s a mixture of thoughts on McGregor, requests to fight Nate Diaz on short notice, and one use of the Crying Jordan meme.
