Featherweight contenders Max Holloway and Ricardo Lamas are set to scrap at UFC 199 on June 4th in Inglewood, California.

We have yet to see UFC featherweight contenders Max Holloway or Ricardo Lamas in action this year, but we’ll soon be seeing them fight each other on June 4th. On Wednesday’s new episode of UFC Tonight, Holloway vs. Lamas was confirmed for UFC 199 in Inglewood, California. It is unknown whether or not it will be part of the PPV main card.

Holloway (15-3) has won 8 straight fights, with his last defeat coming against Conor McGregor in August 2013. The 24-year-old Hawaiian won a unanimous decision vs. Jeremy Stephens at UFC 194 last December. Holloway is noted for his active schedule, having fought 4 times apiece in 2012, 2014, and 2015. Last year, his biggest win to date was a submission of Cub Swanson at UFC on FOX 15.

Lamas (16-4) last fought in November, defeating Diego Sanchez by unanimous decision in the TUF Latin America 2 Finale. “The Bully” had previously suffered a 1st round TKO loss to Chad Mendes last April. The 33-year-old challenged for Jose Aldo’s belt in early 2014, losing by unanimous decision. Following the defeat, Lamas scored a decision win over Hacran Dias and then submitted Dennis Bermudez at UFC 180.

UFC 199 is headlined by a middleweight title fight rematch between champion Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman. In the co-main event, bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz fights bitter rival Urijah Faber in their trilogy bout.
