Dana White says if Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier are both healthy, they could feature as the new main event for the UFC 200.
With Jon Jones returning to the Octagon successfully at UFC 197, the fight everyone wants to see next is a rematch with Daniel Cormier.
‘Bones’, who already holds a unanimous decision win over Cormier, seized the interim light heavyweight title when he beat Ovince Saint Preux in last night’s main event. The 28-year-old was stripped of the official belt after his involvement in a hit-and-run incident last year. In his absence, ‘DC’ picked up the vacant championship with a submission over Anthony Johnson and went on to establish himself as a respected champion by beating Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 192.
Dana White spoke to Brett Okamoto backstage at the MGM Grand and hinted that Jones/Cormier II could headline UFC 200 if both men are healthy.
“If they’re both healthy, yea, it’s a possibility that could be the main event of UFC 200,” White said.
Health concerns for both men are high, though; Cormier was forced out of UFC 197 with a leg injury and Jones was pictured in a wheelchair after his decision win over OSP.

A welterweight rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz was originally set to headline UFC 200, but ‘The Notorious’ was removed from the card after skipping a Las Vegas press conference to promote the event.
The blockbuster pay-per-view will mark the UFC’s debut at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and is expected to take place on July 9th.
