Former boxing champ Floyd Mayweather says he’s in talks with multiple boxing promotions and has been offered a nine-figure payday for a return fight.

Although Floyd Mayweather is happy in retirement, it looks like he could return sooner rather than later.

The former boxing world champion, who’s considered to be one of the greatest in his era, retired last year after a unanimous decision win over Manny Pacquiao. The event was one of the most anticipated boxing matches of all time and had the highest selling pay-per-view ever with 4.6 million buys.

In an interview with Showtime’s Jim Gray on Saturday at Badou Jack vs. Lucian Bute, a bout Mayweather promoted, Floyd said that he’s currently in contact with Showtime and CBS, the two promotions he worked with for his last six fights, but he’s not overly eager to get back into action.

“Yes, I’m happy to be where I’m at,” Mayweather said (via Yahoo! Sports). “Everyone is asking, asking me, ‘Is Floyd Mayweather coming back?’ Right now, I’m happy on this side [of the ropes], but I’ve been talking with CBS and Showtime and you just never know. But for now, I’m happy on this side.

“As of right now, you know, some crazy numbers have been thrown my way, upwards of, of course, nine figures. I’m truly blessed, way beyond belief. I don’t know what we’re going to do, but right now, I’m happy being on this side helping fighters.”

Danny Garcia won the WBC welterweight championship after Mayweather vacated it last year. It sounds like “Money” is most interested in a fight with Garcia in his return bout.

“Danny Garcia, another name, undefeated prospect, undefeated champion in two different weight classes,” Mayweather said. “Very exciting fighter. You just never know.”

A return for Mayweather is far from a done deal, however. The ex-champ has two conditions if he comes out of retirement.

“If I came back, of course, it would have to be a nine-figure payday and probably a championship fight,” he said.
